Substance Abuse & Mental Illness (S.A.M.I.)

The Substance Abuse and Mental Illness (S.A.M.I.) program is designed for adults diagnosed with severe mental health and severe substance use disorders. The program provides a caring, comprehensive and integrated treatment approach that has been well researched to show positive outcomes. Dual diagnosis services integrate assistance for each condition, helping people recover from both in one setting, at the same time.

The S.A.M.I. Team members provide comprehensive treatment for clients utilizing the best practice model “Assertive Community Treatment” (ACT). Intensive case management, counseling, and medical somatic services from a mental health and addiction treatment perspective are utilized. Supported employment specialists act as consultants to the S.A.M.I. Team.
